Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen shows more than one hundred prints and drawings selected by Paul van der Eerden. The City Curators of the museum have invited the artist to curate this exhibition and choose works from the museum’s renowned collection. Apart from this selection and works from other collections, ‘Enclosures’ includes some thirty works by Van der Eerden himself.

“Italian Kings of Doom Noise!!!”
Milan, Italy’s Ovo are a two piece using guitar/violin cellos and drums that dump a toxic sludge with an unmistakable butterscotch scent. This sludge is in line with contemporise doom salesmen such as BORIS and the MELVINS, with the addition of vox stylings that take their music to a new place entirely. The sounds coming from Stephania Pedretti’s mouth as she sings go from lullaby sweet to terrifyingly raw in short intervals. The crushingly heavy elements are always mercifully leavened by a giddy humour, a nearly cartoonish element.
OvO appears on the Load label and on their own label Bar La Muerte.

We are very happy to have Yann Geoffriaud visiting De Garage again. Last year, when playing with Division Frio, he completely surprised us with an uplifting mix of free jazz and impro. This time he will be present with the group Sikhara and it is not to be missed. They are a very intense and energetic live act, roaming the continents like contemporary buskers, leaving bulks of energy and good spirits. When playing they get into a trance induced mayhem, melting together animalistic tribal percussion and primitive voices into a ritualistic sound.
