Our American friends pointed out this video to us a couple of week ago. It deals with the subject of Sinterklaas and his jolly black helpers. Turns out to Americans to see Dutch streets awash with people in Al Jolson style black face is an unsettling experience.

After seven years of using this space as our studio Paul Cox and I took out the last of our trash today. We had ourselves a bonfire and some brews to celebrate.
I’m gonna miss Heijplaat though. It was a special thing to work in the Rotterdam port area.
