TOOLS OF THE TRADE
> what tools and materials changed your life? <

In 2015 I turned from using acrylic paint to oil based paint. Emo Verkerk recommended the best:  Oud Holland oil paint. Beautiful colors, vivid clear and full of pigment. Painting with acrylic became ever more complicated and tedious. With Oil paint I started to take pleasure in the work again. It is a fantastic medium. Painting is way more relaxed.

De laatste cd van Lucinda Williams, niet zo veel gedraaid, op een paar nummers na. Dit nummer dus. Jammer genoeg geen youtube-link van de studio versie te vinden, wel een akoestische versie, maar die vind ik niet goed.

7 Willy DeVille – Spanish Stroll
Lekker door werken in m’n atelier met Willy :-)


8 warpaint – hi
Tussen alle top 2000 nummers, weer eens wat anders, ook veel gedraait: Warpaint.


9 Nirvana – Lithium
De ‘Montage of Heck’ (2015) gezien, met daarin animaties van Hisko Hulsing.
Top cd (Nevermind) en graag ter afwisseling van zoetsappige bovenstaande nummers.


10 Als laatste wilde ik Bee Gees – Stayin’ Alive toevoegen, maar het wordt: Amy Winehouse – Back To Black! Had ook op één mogen staan. Conclusie is dat alle nummers in deze ongecensureerde top 10 op willekeurige volgorde staan.
Heftig te zien hoe Amy in de gelijknamige documentaire ‘Amy'(2015) van een vrolijk kind in sneltreinvaart naar de klote gaat.
